Executive Producer, George Bloom, collaborated with the Netflix team to develop an immersive 3D virtual reality experience to promote the hit show, Stranger Things”. Bloom explains, “to be unique we had to create something that pushed the limits of existing Virtual Reality hardware on the market. Our first phase was to compliment the vision of the show, and second, we engineered an experience which allowed participants to physically walk inside the homes 30 by 45 foot space. We eliminated the need to use hand controllers allowing the participants to actually touch real physical props, which were virtually replicated in this virtual world. This transforms the whole experience into a deeper emotional connect for the user”. The reviews have exceeded everyone’s expectations, and plans are moving ahead for a global tour of this virtual experience.
